Multi-Purpose Court Handing Over Ceremony

Officials cut ribbon at entrance of court

Thanks to the Sports Development Foundation and other funders, Christel House students will have every opportunity to build their character through sport — on the court. The construction of a J$9M multi-purpose court, designed for netball, basketball, volleyball and pickleball – yes, pickleball – is where they will hone their skills and put their character to the test.

The court has already been put to good use: an exhibition match following the handover ceremony between CHJ teachers and the Sunshine Girls, saw our teachers lose 4-1 to Jamaica’s National Netball Team.

In addition, PE teacher, Colleen Richards has already taught volleyball basics to several classes. She also hosted a netball training camp in July in anticipation of the September season.
