The eighth and newest Christel House is ready to open! Although the Jamaican government has delayed the start of in-person classes on the island nation, Christel House is more than a school – and the Christel House Jamaica students already feel like part of the family! In September, our newest Christel House students got an early look at their new school and received a warm welcome as they reported for health check-ups. The children also received their uniforms, books and supplies. “The parents had no idea that they were walking into something so magnificent," said the Hon. Sally Porteous, CEO. "They were blown away that the teachers were so helpful and so nice." As Christel House Jamaica prepares to welcome students in-person when it is safe, final touches are underway, including a drive to fill the new library with books by October 5. Welcome our K-2 students by giving the gift of reading!
