This year marks our first season in the Jamaica Independent School’s Association (JISA) U12 Netball and Football competitions.
Our netball team worked hard over the summer to learn the game, making full use of our new netball court, donated by the Sports Development Foundation. The team shone brightly in an all-day rally to open the season. They made it to the semi-finals and finished fourth overall! They also learned valuable lessons they will carry with them into the rest of the competition.
Last year, our football team played in two primary school competitions – Insport & Portmore Pitech League. And we were proud to win Most Disciplined Team in the Portmore competition! “This year, we chose to enter the JISA competitions to give our teams even more exposure,” explained Executive Principal, Jason Scott.
The football team fought hard in their first JISA match, against Lannaman’s Prep, the favourite in our group. They lost 4-1 are ready to wheel and come again. Our sports program is just one way we are building character, through teamwork and discipline.
