    Champions in Every Arena

    Champions

From national competitions and championship titles to cultural showcases and academic excellence, Christel House Jamaica students are proving that success knows no boundaries. Whether on the stage, the sports field, or in the classroom, our students are earning recognition across Jamaica and showing what can happen when talent meets opportunity.

Grade 6 student Nadisha B. won the Grades 4–6 category of Jamaica’s Young Voices: SDG Creative Expression Competition with her powerful speech, Carrot Eyes. In academics, Aaron S. was a finalist in the Jamaica Mathematical Olympiad 2026 and earned a special Grade 4 Achievement Award, placing among fewer than 100 finalists selected from over 3,000 entrants nationwide.

In the performing arts, D’Asia B. won a National Award at the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission competition for her moving rendition of Wade in the Water, while an ensemble of CHJ football players earned gold in Experimental Dub Poetry. Yolanda S. also made history as the first-ever Mini Miss St. Catherine, placing first among 16 contestants and winning seven category awards. She also competed in the Mini Miss All-Island Competition.

Sports also brought more reasons to celebrate. Our U12 netball team claimed the JISA/Canopy Region 5 & 6 Championship, defeating Portmore Missionary Primary 16–12 in a hard-fought final. Special congratulations to Shamoya T., who was named Outstanding Player of the Tournament for her exceptional performance throughout the season.

Shamoya also captured Christel House Jamaica’s first-ever gold medal at the JISA Prep School Championships in the Girls’ Open Ball Throw, and Jordan B. earned silver in the Boys’ Open Ball Throw, while Justine E. placed 7th in the Class 2 Girls’ 60m finals.

We couldn’t be prouder of these remarkable students and all they are achieving.
