    Nathan Daniels

Class of 2015, Christel House South Africa

Nathan studied medicine at Stellenbosch University and is currently a working medical doctor. Nathan says that the circumstances he faced, including poverty, crime and violence in his neighbourhood, posed so many risks to him and his family. He is grateful for the opportunity Christel House South Africa afforded him so that he could pursue his dreams.

“My experience at Christel House has been life-changing. In hindsight, I can say that I would not be at this point without the help of the school. Receiving a dedicated education from world-class educators and having the opportunity to follow my dreams has been a major highlight for me.”

“The older I get the more my heart is moved, humbled and grateful by the fact that there are hundreds of people, some whom I have never met, who were part of planting and sowing in my life. I thank God for moving hearts, I am where I am because of the many hands that came together to create a better future for me, my parents, my husband and two children.”

    Zakeer Hussain

Class of 2013, Christel House Bangalore

Zakeer was raised in a crowded, very small one room house he shared with his mother, father, grandmother, and older brother. While his father worked hard to provide, income was irregular. During second grade, Zakeer was forced to drop out of school as his family could not afford the fees. “Then Christel House happened.” The Christel House College & Careers program guided Zakeer from a very young age. Zakeer earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering, is now a project manager, and has moved his family into a spacious new home.

“I really want to thank my second home, Christel House, that they helped us achieve this.”
